About the People involved

Our Team

  • Brooklynn C. Besner

    Board President and CEO

Often a driving force to bring people together, Brooklynn happened to discover this amazing way to do it again! With her experience as a professional nanny, training as a doula, and working with Newborn care specialists, she is a large benefit to the community. She coined what she joked was a “library nanny support group,” and then lead her to open her arms to supporting all childcare workers. Now, she is taking this experience to help others in the industry with challenges they may have faced in the isolation of the career. With her knowledge and understanding, we feel great hope to see her grow her dream of helping others.

  • Sydney Bork

    Board Clerk

When she is not running after children or hosting events, you can usually find Sydney sipping tea or discussing a new sewing project. She has had thorough experience working in numerous settings such as daycare, private school, and with various nanny families. Prior to her childcare career, she acquired a degree in psychology. This led to her including mental health and development in her caregiving practice. She noted that this has always been very important to her and the forefront in her approach. Now, being a part of CBB allows her to bring her background and experiences to fellow caregivers as they journey to be their best selves.

  • Paoli Melo

    Board Treasurer

Though she is normally a closed book, keeping to herself she expressed the need for community and a drive to do more to help others. This lead her to want to make an impact to her community she not only got a degree in, but was a nanny in for many years. With years of experience in early childhood education and a passion for helping little ones grow and thrive, she is committed to creating a safe, engaging, and loving environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. With all her vast training and knowledge, she hopes to inspire others to open up about their struggles and have a safe space!
